What are lactic acid bacteria?

Lactic acid bacteria are bacteria found in large numbers on and in the human body. They are primarily found in the mucous membranes, for example, in the intestines and vagina. Various influences, including the use of antibiotics, can significantly reduce the number of these lactic acid bacteria.

What is biotin?

Biotin is an essential vitamin that plays a role in the metabolism of all body cells, including cell division.* Tissues such as skin and mucous membranes, in particular, divide particularly rapidly and therefore require biotin for the regulated process of cell division during their regeneration.*

Biotin is usually consumed in sufficient quantities daily through food. However, an increased need for biotin can arise, for example, in smokers, in connection with negative stress, the use of medications such as antibiotics, or during pregnancy.

Vagisan Lactic Acid Bacteria with Biotin is a dietary supplement in capsule form. It contains lactic acid bacteria (at least 1 billion freeze-dried viable lactic acid bacteria per capsule); These are Lactobacillus reuteri, RC-14, and Lactobacillus rhamnosus, GR-1, and the essential vitamin biotin.
