Femibion® 2 Pregnancy is a dietary supplement to support the supply of mother and baby with nutrients important for the healthy development of the child. Folic acid: Folic acid is a synthetically developed vitamin B9 that is converted into folate by the body. Folate plays an important role in blood formation and cell division. Adequate folate levels during pregnancy also support the growth of maternal tissue.
Metafolin: Since folic acid cannot be utilized by all women, which can result in low folate levels, Femibion® 2 Pregnancy also contains metafolin. This form of folate can be physically utilized by almost all women and contributes to the nutrition of the unborn baby during pregnancy.

DHA: DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) is a polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acid. It supports the healthy development of the brain and eyes of the fetus or breastfed infant. Therefore, the German Nutrition Society (DGE) recommends meeting the daily requirement of 200 mg DHA during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Iodine: Iodine is an essential trace element. It contributes to the healthy function of the thyroid gland and the production of thyroid hormones. Therefore, the Iodine Deficiency Working Group recommends that pregnant and breastfeeding women take a supplement of 150 to 200 μg of iodine per day.

Vitamins B1, B2, and biotin: These ingredients contribute to the regulation of energy metabolism and support the function of the nervous system.

Vitamins B6, B12, niacin, and pantothenic acid: To reduce exhaustion and fatigue, as pregnancy can be draining.

Magnesium and iron: Magnesium and iron also influence energy metabolism and can help relieve fatigue.

Vitamins C, D, E, zinc, and selenium: Vitamins C, zinc, and selenium are important for a healthy immune system because they contribute to the function of the immune system. Vitamin D also supports cell division and growth processes in the body. Vitamin E, in turn, is involved in protecting cells from oxidative stress.
Lutein: A carotenoid found in various fruits and vegetables that gives Femibion® 2 Pregnancy capsules their red color.
